For a holiday dining experience to delight every member of the family, the Christmas Day Buffet at Rosen Plaza is not to be missed.  A feast of not only tastes, but sights and sounds, this local Orlando favorite immerses guests in the spirit of the season within its festive ballroom, providing plenty of spacious socially distanced seating and buffet attendants safely serving each delectable dish.

Start with complimentary wine or champagne and then indulge in displays of fruit salad with cheeses, homemade New England clam chowder, chilled shrimp, oysters and more.  Chef Michael McMullen and his inspired team present an array of artfully displayed choices such as roast turkey with all of the trimmings, chef’s carving stations of prime rib and baked ham, pasta stations, Florida Mahi Mahi — even steamed Asian chicken pot stickers.

The hotel’s famous Christmas Yule Log headlines a Dessert Extravaganza with holiday pies and cakes including a sugar-free option and a New York cheesecake, exquisite pastries and soft serve ice cream.  Reservations are recommended and include free self-parking.

First Look: 2nd Mamak Asian Street Food (UCF / East Orlando Area) Now Open for Take Out / Delivery – Plus 7 Must Try Dishes at Mamak

 

Mamak Asian Street Food, a local family-owned restaurant specializing in Southeast Asian street food, has officially opened its second location, though only for open delivery/take out for the near future. First Look: US Marine Veteran Opens Island Fin Poke Franchise in Windermere

 

Windermere franchise owner Tommy Ramjattan, originally from the Caribbean island of Trinidad, lived in the states for several years before joining the U.S. Marine Corps. During his four years of service, Ramjattan’s high test scores had earned him the envied title of marine firefighter and aircraft rescue specialist.  The Ramjattans boast about Island Fin Poké’s healthy menu options and sustainable sourcing that makes everyone feel good. Lineage Coffee Roasting, has now added a third location to their lineup with a new location in East Orlando near UCF, adding to their East End Market and Mills 50 Location. The new cafe and bakery takes over the space once home to Jimmy Hula’s.

Orange County May Fine Businesses Up to $5000 a day for Violations, plus Rapid Testing Updates

According to reporting by the Orlando Sentinel, Orange businesses could face fines up to $5,000 a day for ignoring COVID protocols if a new executive order is signed this Friday, December 4th, 2020. Also, Since late April 2020, Orange County Health Services has been rotating locations throughout the County each week to offer free COVID-19 testing to all of its residents. In fact, a variety of testing options have become available nationwide, but given these options, how do you know which test is right for you? Two kinds of tests are available for COVID-19: viral tests (diagnostic tests) and antibody tests.
